2020 Banquet & EXPO E-Week Event Information
The 2020 E-Week Events will be held at the University of Maine.
- E-Week Banquet will be held Friday, March 6 -University of Maine, Wells Central Dining, 2-34 Long Rd., Orono, ME 5pm - 8pm. This event registration is on the banquet registration page.
- E-Week Engineering EXPO will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the University of Maine New Balance Field House, 18 Gym Dr. Orono, ME 04469
The public is invited to join us at the EXPO, no registration necessary. Companies, educators and organizations will need to register to exhibit on the expo registration page.
Keynote Speaker:
Thorn C. Dickinson
Vice President - Business Development
Thorn Dickinson is the CEO and President of NECEC LLC and Vice President of Business Development at Avangrid. He is responsible for creating and supporting growth initiatives in sustainable energy. Thorn has worked in the energy industry for 30 years. Prior to his current position, he worked in transmission and distribution operations, resource planning, rates and regulatory, strategic planning, investor relations and risk management. In these roles, Thorn worked on integrated resource plans, clean-air compliance, industry restructuring, the Maine Power Reliability Project, the sale and acquisition of numerous businesses and most recently the development of renewable energy projects. Thorn earned an MBA from Syracuse University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Union College.
While making plans to attend MEPC events on Friday March 6, consider the Annual PDH Symposium co-sponsored by the Maine Society of Professional Engineers and the UMaine Advanced Manufacturing Center. It is at the same location and just prior to the Friday-evening MEPC Banquet.
